Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince by J.K. Rowling

Harry is entering his 6th year at Hogwarts and Voldemort is rising back to power. Everyone is panicking as the fear sets in. Harry, however, is having a great time excelling in potions. With the help of his textbook, complete with answers to every potion, curtesy of the mysterious Half-Blood Prince, Harry is doing so well in Potions that he catches the eye of his new professor, Horace Slughorn. Against Hermione's warnings, Harry continues to use the book, hoping to discover the identity of the Half-Blood Prince. Will Harry manage to figure this mystery and still be able to handle the stress of Lord Voldemort?

Okay, so everyone and their great aunt Jeanine has read Harry Potter. Unless you haven't. Then you need to. Anyways, as always Harry Potter and the Half-Blood prince lives up to the high standard that J.K. has set for all of her novels. If you haven't read the series, get on it! Chop chop!

Bittersweet by Sarah Ockler

Hudson is the cupcake queen! She can create a masterpiece out of just about anything. Unfortunately, Hudson's mom's restaurant isn't doing very well and between juggling school, her one best friend, her little brother, and her new love interest Hudson is finding it extremely difficult to keep her life in check. Hudson's father isn't helping matters either. After Hudson's disastrous debut at an ice skating competition he seems to only feel the need to talk to her and her younger brother when it's about him...or his new girlfriend. Hudson feels like everything is all coming down on her at once, but will she be able to hold under the pressure?

You ever get into a mood where you just don't feel like reading and then one book slingshots you back into it and you finish it in about a day? Yeah, that was me with this book. I was on a reading low, but I absolutely loved this book. It was very easy to put myself into the story and then take myself out. I absolutely loved it!!! Thank you Sarah Ockler, for writing a book that got me out of my reading funk :)
