Hot Six by Janet Evanovich

Stephanie Plum is back! When bounty hunter Stephanie Plum is told by her cousin, Vinnie, that she has a bond jumper to locate she's anything but ecstatic, especially when she finds out that that bond jumper is fellow bounty hunter/ somewhat lover Ranger. After being seen on camera leaving a fire and a murder, he is now the number one suspect. Now Stephanie is on the run, trying desperately to get Ranger off the hook, find the real culprit, take care of her recently acquired dog, and manage a relationship with cop Joe Morelli. Ranger is depending on her to clear his name, can she do it?

This was certainly one of my favorite from the Stephanie Plum series. What more could you ask for? It's got Ranger, Morelli, Grandma Mazur, AND another pet for Stephanie to keep an eye on. Full of action and jam packed with hilarity, this book is definitely one of the favorites!

Matched by Allie Condie

Dystopian Romance? Sign me up! Cassia has always believed her society was perfect and when she is Matched with her best friend, Xander, at the annual Matching Ball, she feels she's on top of the world. Not only is she set to marry her best friend, whom she's known forever, but things are finally looking her way. Until a difference face flashes on her matched screen. The face of Ky, a boy living down the street. Now Cassia's world is suddenly very complicated. Why doesn't the government want her and Ky to be together? What happens if they find out that they are?

So we all love dystopian romance, right? Honestly, this book wasn't my favorite of the genre, but when you're running up against The Hunger Games and Divergent, how can you be? Good story line and definitely a fast read. Can't wait to get started on the rest of the trilogy.

Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince by J.K. Rowling

Harry is entering his 6th year at Hogwarts and Voldemort is rising back to power. Everyone is panicking as the fear sets in. Harry, however, is having a great time excelling in potions. With the help of his textbook, complete with answers to every potion, curtesy of the mysterious Half-Blood Prince, Harry is doing so well in Potions that he catches the eye of his new professor, Horace Slughorn. Against Hermione's warnings, Harry continues to use the book, hoping to discover the identity of the Half-Blood Prince. Will Harry manage to figure this mystery and still be able to handle the stress of Lord Voldemort?

Okay, so everyone and their great aunt Jeanine has read Harry Potter. Unless you haven't. Then you need to. Anyways, as always Harry Potter and the Half-Blood prince lives up to the high standard that J.K. has set for all of her novels. If you haven't read the series, get on it! Chop chop!

Bittersweet by Sarah Ockler

Hudson is the cupcake queen! She can create a masterpiece out of just about anything. Unfortunately, Hudson's mom's restaurant isn't doing very well and between juggling school, her one best friend, her little brother, and her new love interest Hudson is finding it extremely difficult to keep her life in check. Hudson's father isn't helping matters either. After Hudson's disastrous debut at an ice skating competition he seems to only feel the need to talk to her and her younger brother when it's about him...or his new girlfriend. Hudson feels like everything is all coming down on her at once, but will she be able to hold under the pressure?

You ever get into a mood where you just don't feel like reading and then one book slingshots you back into it and you finish it in about a day? Yeah, that was me with this book. I was on a reading low, but I absolutely loved this book. It was very easy to put myself into the story and then take myself out. I absolutely loved it!!! Thank you Sarah Ockler, for writing a book that got me out of my reading funk :)

Summer Time!

So I am sitting in my morning class today, not paying attention to anything, when someone says "Man, I can't believe we only have, like, 4 weeks of school left." Seriously?! Where have I been this entire  year? How was something as big as summer break manage to sneak up on me? Needless to say, I felt pretty stupid.

Anyways, because summer is right around the corner, I felt the need to pay tribute to the greatest season ever created (Were the seasons created? Who created them? Now I am confused). I can't wait to get out of school and get a move on my Summer To-Do list. Every year I make a Summer To-Do  list, just a small (sometimes large) checklist of things I HAVE to do in the three months I have off school.

1. GET MY DRIVERS LICENSE
2. Finish (or attempt to finish) my To-Read list
3. Go and see the good movies coming out in theatres
4. Possibly see my friends
5. Volunteer at the nursing home
6. Avoid returning to school

So there is my list. I probably have a TON of other things I could put on that list, but I can't think of any right now. Well, that's all I have for right now!

Liar Society by Lisa and Laura Roecker

How would you eel if your best friend was murdered? How would you feel if you were the one who was supposed to be killed in her place? Kate Lowery's life collapsed after the murder of her best friend, Grace, but her world was completely rocked when she began receiving emails from her "dead" buddy . Soon Kate discovers that the murder of her best friend was no accident and now Kate is the one having to clean up the mess. After catching the eye of the schools bad boy and gaining attention from so not-so-friendly schoolmates, Kate discovers secrets that are bigger than she ever imagined. Will Kate be able to solve the puzzle, all the while trying to juggle her newfound romance, in time?

So, I literally finished this book in about .5 seconds. My cousin warned me that I wouldn't be able to put it down but I didn't think that she meant it literally. If you love twists, turns and surprises that will keep you on the edge of your seat then The Liar Society is the book for you. Seriously, I would recommend this book to just about anybody!

Divergent by Veronica Roth

It's post-apocolyptic America and a new society has been built on five core values. Intelligence, Honesty, Peace, Selflessness, and Bravery. Each citizen has to decide, upon reaching a certain age, which faction, or value, they want to join. But Beatrice can't choose which faction she wants to join, because Beatrice doesn't fit specifically into any category. She is Divergent, a fact which threatens to ruin her life.

Beatrice lives with her family in Abnegation, the faction which honors selflessness. She knows that she doesn't belong there, but she can't decide exactly where she fits in. After taking the test that is supposed to prove which faction best suits you, she is left even more confused than before, especially when she finds out that her test results say she is Divergent, meaning she isn't suited for any faction. Beatrice must decide where her heart truly belongs, but the decision weighs heavily on her shoulders since she knows, if she leaves Abnegation, she will never see her family again.

After Beatrice leaves for the faction that values bravery, Dauntless, she must start her training to prove she can survive as one of them. What she doesn't know, but quickly discovers, is that not everyone makes it out of Dauntless training alive. Beatrice is scared for her life but after meeting her mysterious trainer, Four, she feels she finally has something to fight for.

This book was AMAZING! I sped through this book like a jackrabbit. Those are fast, right? Anyways, anyone who reads this book will most certainly find it as entertaining as I did. If you aren't sure whether or not it is a good fit for you, ask yourself one simple question. Dramatic Pause. Did you like the Hunger Games? Because if you did, then this is the book for you.

That dramatic pause led up to a pretty lame question, didn't it?
